What is Zapier?

Zapier is a web automation app. With Zapier you can build Zaps which can automate parts of your business or life. A Zap is a blueprint for a task you want to do over and over.

Below we have listed some common Zaps you can make using NomNom, but Zapier provides you with the flexibility to pull data from a variety of different sources into NomNom!

This is how you do it:

  1. Create an account on Zapier.com.

  2. Accept the invitation to NomNom's beta Zapier Integration: https://zapier.com/developer/invite/48259/4e1a7d70a1ecc88368436149e95b1b1f/

  3. Select 'Make a Zap', then choose a service (see tutorials on common options below).

  4. Select a trigger. A trigger is what will determine when something gets imported as a document into NomNom. For example, the subject of an email in Gmail, when you star a message in Slack, when you make a new note in Evernote. You will need to authorise each account you use as a trigger.

How to Authenticate NomNom

After you select a trigger, you will need to select an action, search for NomNom.

  1. Select Connect a new Account.

  2. Then, go to:
  • Integrations
  • Select API
  • Click "Add New API Key"
  • Copy API Key, and add to Zapier authentication screen
NomNom is now authenticated with Zapier! 🎉 You're now ready to make some "Zaps".

Set up NPS Surveys with NomNom.

NomNom's relationship with NPS Surveys is a strong 10/10. You can set up NPS Survey platforms to feed results into NomNom using Zapier.

For this example, we will use Wootric.

This is just an example! We have a native, easy to use Wootric integration
  1. Go to Zapier.com.

  2. Create a Zap, then select Wootric.

  3. Select a trigger. Your Trigger should be 'New Response'. You will need to authorise your chosen platform and select the which account you want to sync with NomNom.

  4. Interested in a different trigger? How about just negative NPS responses? That works too!
  5. Test this step and allow Zapier to fetch some data from your NPS platform. You will need to have at least one survey result populated for this step to work.

  6. Once you have created a trigger, you will need to create an action. Select NomNom and authenticate if needed using an API key.

  7. Select NomNom Action as "Import Documents".

  8. Set up how you want your document to look inside NomNom. The required steps are:

  9. Name the Source: In this instance, type Wootric

  10. Choose the feedback: This is the main body of text, in this instance, select Text.

You can now provide additional information about the document, such as Subject , Sentiment & Tags.

For NPS Platforms you should also provide details around the NPS score itself. To do this select Use a Custom Value in the NPS Score field. Then select the score in the Custom Value for NPS score field.

NPS Score = NomNom Sentiment Congratulations! Now your imported documents from your NPS platform will give your NomNom documents the correct sentiment.
  1. Click Test, and see how your document will appear in NomNom.

  2. Once you're happy with it, click finish and POW whenever you receive a new NPS survey response, it will appear in your NomNom account.
